VIRTUAL YEAR THIS YEAR!!!

So as we all shouted on New Year's Eve for 2020 to be kind to us but it ended as a misery. Suddenly pandemic came like these things we read in journals and in our books a lot but never thought that one day we will also be a part of this. But we are in this together. Travel plans cancelled, street food got away, all weekend party ideas dropped and above all our academic session got so badly hitted but then also somehow assignments continued! For some this was their first year in college (including me), for some its their last year, for some they had their farewells, for some their school was getting over for them, and many more conditions but with a heavy heart we let it go. 

Everyone realised that our scream wasn't worth this time but then too we survived in a different mode. It was the VIRTUAL LIFE! All our classes, parties, farewell, birthdays, meetings, connecting with family was virtual. For the first time all the parents relaxed seeing their children engaged either on phone or laptops. Its very hard though like if we think about the new admissions in any school, like they are a part of that but still unrecognised! This is mind-blowing. 

But on the other hand it made things a bit easy like those who had their exams online they were like blessed. Why do we need to study for exams when we can pass without even opening the book for preparation. But some like me have their exams offline so for us life sucks even more!!! 

The main happening was the online classes which are like an entertainment hour to all of us. We almost miss the whole class by being in the class. Specially ZOOM, it is amazing! No mics open, No videos and just sleeping and snoring in the class. Everyone actually completed like half of their work when they attended classes online. We played, chatted, instagrammed and every other thing which shouldn't be planned in that hour of the day. 

But also we should appreciate our teachers for actually making efforts for us. Like many of our teachers are not well introduced to the technologies. Appreciation goes to us too like we also made efforts to understand things in a virtual world which actually needs ones presence in person. So we all did good and hopefully things will get back normal soon and then our we have to make extra effort for being into the real normal different from new normal.
